A Contradiction of Elements

A Contradiction of Elements
burled oak island

In my humble opinion, some of the most interesting homes around are the ones that play up the contrast. Rough hewn beams paired with sleek polished marble, or a burled oak island set against crisp white subway tile… It’s the key to infusing life, soul, and staying power into a space. I’ve always said that every room should have a moment of “weird”, or unexpected, if you will. And this house, located in Salt Lake City, has got it in spades. While grandiose and glamorous in its own right, it still manages to remain humble, approachable, and not-overtly-precious. And isn’t that just the most picture perfect combo?
