Today we are sharing fresh pictures of the Estillo Project Kitchen with it’s final installation! This modern coastal kitchen is the focal point of this beautiful home and we wanted to make sure that it felt pretty and polished with a clean white foundation and black accents that add modern edge. Take a closer look inside; It is one of my favorites! And if you missed last week’s space reveal, make sure to catch the Estillo Project: Modern Coastal Master Bedroom.
To make a statement, we chose a gorgeous slab of statuary marble for the backsplash and counters. Statuary marble has that clean white background that we wanted for the space, but it has heavy dark gray veining which adds beautiful, rich, depth. It’s a favorite choice for kitchen marble.
The kitchen takes advantage of pretty natural light with walls and cabinetry painted Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee. This white paint is bright and clean without feeling stark. For more white paint favorites read here. The ceiling creates subtle interest with a high sheen paint and tongue-and-groove paneling that gives it the shiplap look.
The kitchen has a very classic feel with clean, chrome hardware and Kohler faucets to compliment the gray accents in the marble. Natural oak floors ( Provenza Desert Haze ) and a blue and gray rug add warmth to the space.
Black lighting grounds the room. We chose Rejuvenation’s Butte Pendant in matte black and brass, but you could get the look for less with this pendant.
I love the contrast of black against the white counters and cabinetry. One of my favorite elements is the industrial swing-arm sconce above the sink. It adds a bit of character and pairs well with the cone pendants.
A stainless steel apron sink fits the clean modern polish of the home. Read this post for more apron sink ideas. We also added a useful prep sink in the island.
For seating, we chose beautiful natural fibers that create an organic coastal feel. Rattan counter stools add texture and color. We chose these by Palecek, but I also love the clean lines of this rattan stool.
Linen and weathered wood dining chairs contrast with the bold black dining table. We used the Morgan Track Arm Chair, but if you love the look also consider this (on sale!) Saddie Chair or this linen and limed oak option.
This coastal house has an open-layout. You can see how the kitchen and dining opens right into the living room. We created a seamless transition by picking up the black and brass accents and organic textures throughout the space.
Thank you for joining me for the final reveal of this classic, modern kitchen. To recreate the look of this classic modern kitchen in your own home, check out the resources below. Happy Tuesday!
